In a little bit I'm off to pick up duchess_of_pie and couplandesque and we're going to the Taste of Minnesota to stuff our faces and then see ELVIS COSTELLO at 8. :D :D

and I get to see him in Winnipeg on Wednesday. it's like 2002 all over again!

I finished season 2 of Burn Notice which means I can watch season 3 live when it starts in a few weeks. yay!

this week I'm going to get around to both of the Doctor Who specials I downloaded and never watched. then I'm out of downloaded TV. But I think I'll work on catching up on Spooks through netflix (I'm on series 6).

and Bethany and I are continuing our way through series 2 of Robin Hood and it continues to be OH SO GAY. I am still upset that everyone is still mean to Much all the time (including Robin!) when he's ALWAYS RIGHT! meanwhile, I still ship Guy/Marian. possibly because it's wrong and HOT.


and I'm super pissed that Dollhouse got picked up and Sarah Connor Chronicles didn't. SCC had such an awesome season and Dollhouse mostly sucked. I'll just have to get SCC on DVD and hug it a lot. and I'm not sure I'd watch season 2 of Dollhouse. unless I knew that Alan Tudyk was going to be in it all the time.

Another reason to love summer: music in the zoo! I've always had a lot of fun at every show I've seen there (and luckily have so far never been rained on *crosses fingers*). I'm also seeing The BoDeans at the end of June with my parents and my dad's best friend.

Burn Notice
I don't remember if I posted about watching this, but yes, I watched season 1 on DVD and am planning on being bad and downloading season 2 so I can watch the new season when it airs. I love all of the three main characters. are Bethany and I the only ones who kinda ship Sam/Fiona, though? *sheepish look*

Robin Hood
Bethany has had the first season for a long time and we kept meaning to get to it and finally have. we're almost done with season 1 and she ordered season 2, so hopefully that will come next week ^___^ we've also spoiled ourselves silly for the entire show. oh man, this show is cheesy and I totally love it. they got rid of the one guy I didn't like (Roy) and now every episode is so much fun. I don't care how sleezy he is, I LOVE Guy of Gisborne. mainly because he is SO VERY PRETTY. and I totally ship him with Marian. I also ship Marian with Robin. really, I just want Marian to get some action from SOMEWHERE.

Allan is my favourite merry man. I hope Will grows a personality soon because I still have no idea what his character is supposed to be like. I didn't like Much at all when we started, but he's grown on me. I think it's because he's so completely gay for devoted to Robin.

and wow, is this show gay. that makes me love it so much more.

Leverage
I've watched 9 episodes in two days. the last time I posted I said I was going to get stuff done this week, but no, I've just been watching Leverage. it's so much fun! and it's rare for me to watch a show with an ensemble cast where I love all the main characters. I think Parker and Hardison are my favourites and I ship them hardcore. and Eliot never fails to amuse me every time they have a flashback for him. I love that his special skill is beating people to a pulp. the show is definitely formulaic, but it really works for me.


I need to go track down icons for all of these shows.

today I went to the zoo and was fortunate enough to get there right as all the school groups were leaving. score. I have lots of really cool photos. and I got my exercise for the day by walking around without sitting down for three hours. but then I got Wendy's on the way home. I guess that sort of negates it. meh.

Please go see the new Terminator movie when it comes out next month! besides the fact that it looks totally awesome, word on the street is that if the movie does really well they'll renew The Sarah Connor Chronicles for a third season. *crosses fingers*

[we got DirectTV installed yesterday so we hadn't set up all of our series recordings yet. didn't check the guide until 7:15 for the Office since I figured the earliest it would be on is 7:30. so now I have to wait to download the first episode before we can watch the other one that will record at 8. which probably won't pop up until tomorrow.]

for some reason today I figured, what the hell, I'll give it a shot instead of getting a real job or working retail. and if nothing else, I'm sure I'll be able to snag some summer stock jobs. I suppose I should join callboard again. grumble.

I'm also totally not above whoring myself out to places that need stage hands or board ops or something that pay well.

okay, I am having WAY too much fun playing this game. it's one of those twenty question games but it wants you to think of real and fictional people. and it's surprisingly good! it successfully guessed Hayao Miyazaki, Domo-kun, Damien Rice, Lyra from His Dark Materials, and MY CAT. it did not get Michael Ondaatje, Cosette from Les Mis, or Neil Gaiman (but guessed Terry Pratchett, which is way amusing).

I'm going to bake up a storm tomorrow. I already have most of my cookies done, but I still have the sugar cookies to do and those involve decorating. but I think this year instead of cutouts I'm just going to do circles so it'll be quicker. it takes forever to roll out and cut the dough.

I am mostly done with being sick except for a cough that developed Saturday. -_-

so because permanent accounts got their icon limit upped to almost 200 (!!!), I've been making icons for myself. and I figured other people might want some and I have lots of extras. I'm not the best at photoshop, but I have fun playing.
